EVENTS

Hill Country Nudists will hold at least one event per month. During the warm months, HCN will try to schedule 2 or more events per month. Please check back for ongoing updates to these events.

If you are a member and can host or organize an event, please contact our activities director or use the contact information here.

Unless otherwise stated, all events are for HCN members and their guests only and are NUDE events. If you are not a member but wish to join, please visit our membership page.

REGULAR EVENTS

Here are the events that happen on a regular basis:

• HCN Board Meetings - 4th Monday of each month 7:00 PM (subject to change) - Club members may attend the montly board meetings and participate in shaping the club's agenda as the Board of Directors plans and organize events, etc. Until further notice, the meetings will be held held at Ted and Beth's home. Please RSVP if you plan to attend. It's always a mini-potluck so try and bring a snack or dish.

• Intrduction To Nudism and Naturism - 3rd Tuesday of each Month 7:00 PM (subject to change) - HCN conducts a monthly introductory meeting that is open to the public and is provided to provide information for those who are interested in learning about nudism and the various nudist organizations, both local and national. These are held on the third Tuesday of the month at Mr. Natural's Restaurant, 2414 S. Lamar in Austin. This is a clothed event.

Here are some of our other upcoming events for 2008:

• April 21 @ 7:00 PM - HCN Board of Directors Meeting - Your Board of Directors at work. We'll be conducting the HCN board meeting at Ted and Beth's home. All members may to attend. Make your voices heard! If you plan to attend please RSVP to Ted and plan to bring a small dish to share in a mini-potluck.

• April 23 CANCLED - Bottomless movie screening - CANCLED - Sorry, the screening was cancled. The coordinator hopes to be able to reschedule at some point.

• April 26 @ 4:00 PM - Meetup at Eeyores B-Day party - This is a not an HCN Event and not a nude event, but some HCN members do like to meet up at Peace Park for Austin's great Eeyores Birthday party. Many people dress up in costumes and body paint. If you like to play in the drum circle bring your drum or anything you can bang on. With so many people it might be difficult to find us. If you dont see anyone you recognize, look for HCN shirts or logos. We will try to meet near the childrens swings at 4PM since this is a little less crowded than the general park area.

• April 26 @ 1:00PM - Skinnydipper Sun Run 5k - This is a Wildwood Naturist's Resort event in Decatur, Texas but some HCN members may enter the race or spend the day there. For more info on these races see http://aanr-sw.org/html/2008_schedule.html

• May 3 @ 5:00 PM - Cinco De Mayo party or travel weekend - We considered a travel weekend to a landed club, but sounds like a member might host a party for us. Stay tuned for more info

• May 10 @ 12:00Noon - Hippie Hollow Day - HCN members plan to meet at HH around noon at our usual spot (down the trail by the second bathroom building).

• May 16 @ 6:00PM - Happy Hour @ Opal Divines Marina (North) - Up north, next to Frys on Parmer and Mopac. Opals phone number: 733-5353 This is a clothed event open to the public to give people a chance to meet some of us in a public social environment. Look for the table with the HCN sign and logo!

• May 19 @ 7:00 PM - HCN Board of Directors Meeting - Your Board of Directors at work. We'll be conducting the HCN board meeting at Ted and Beth's home. All members may to attend. Make your voices heard! If you plan to attend please RSVP to Ted and plan to bring a small dish to share in a mini-potluck.

• May 20 @ 7:00PM - Introduction to Nudism and Naturism - Its always great to have existing members as well as interested newcomers on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.

• May 22-26 - Flipside - This is not an HCN event, but we will have a presence at the local campout/event called Flipside.

• June 7 @ 9:00AM - Hike the Greenbelt - Hike in the beautiful upper Barton Creek to Sculpture falls. Meet at the Gains Trailhead at 9AM.

• June 21 @ TBD - Body Painting and Bonfire? - We are planning up some sort of party on this day. Stay tuned for more info.

• TBD @ 6:00PM - Happy Hour @ Opal Divines Marina (South Congress) - This is a clothed event open to the public to give people a chance to meet some of us in a public social environment. Look for the table with the HCN sign and logo!

RECENT PAST EVENTS

Here are some recent events held in 2008:

• April 19 - Earth Day Celebration - Steve & Crystal hosted an earth day party and helped us all with encouraging a hazardous chemical disposal run to the recycler.

• April 18 - Happy Hour @ Opal Divines Marina (South Congress) - This was a clothed event open to the public to give people a chance to meet some of us in a public social environment.

• April 15 - Introduction to Nudism and Naturism - Its always great to have existing members as well as interested newcomers on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.

• April 12 - Sahnoans Bare Buns Run 5k - This was a Star Ranch event in McDade, Texas, but some HCN members had planned to spend the day there. For more info on these races see http://aanr-sw.org/html/2008_schedule.html

• April 5 - Clean Sweep - As part of the Cleanup Austin Parks Initiative, we helped to clean up an Austin nature trail.

• April 4 - Happy Hour @ Opal Divines Marina (North)

• March 21 - St Pattys party - Thanks to all who brought great dishes to the pot luck.

• February 23 - Valentines party - Valentines party and birthday party for several members. HCN provided the food for this one in appreciation of its members, one of the benefits of membership!

• February 15 - Happy hour - One of our newer non-nude socials.

• February 3 - Superbowl Party - Thanks for having it, it was exciting up to the last minute.

• January 6 - Christmas Tree recycling - This is one of civic duties that is really fun, and we get a shirt and/or mug out of the deal as well! Volunteers count and handle the trees, direct traffic and hand out saplings. This is a clothed event.

• January 1st, Swim @ 7:00 AM - Nude Years Day Swim - Every year, a few brave HCN folks show up for this exhilarating event! If you are up for it, a dip in the chilly spring fed waters is a great way to start your new year.
